Andrew Rooke is an award-winning filmmaker and educator originally from Canada. He currently teaches as a Lecturer in Media Practice at Queen Margaret University.
Andrew is currently undertaking a PhD research project at QMU entitled Fostering Homosocial Bonds Through Filmmaking Practice. He completed his undergraduate degree in Film Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University before going on to achieve a Master's degree in Film Directing from the University of Edinburgh.
Andrew’s films have been screened in film festivals around the world, as well as on public television. He has also directed commercials for corporate clients in Edinburgh and abroad. Outside of his directing work, Andrew has worked freelance as a part of the camera team in the Scottish film industry, contributing to various television shows, feature films, and commercials.
