Similar to Morning Routine, this short film was created using myself as simultaneous director/non-actor/researcher. In this film, I attempt to reconceptualise my idea of masculinity through the use of my female partner's makeup routine, again using voiceover to articulate my reflection to an audience.
This film encouraged me to consider the plurality of masculine expression and encouraged me to move away from prescribing certain kinds of masculinity in my research. However, my privileged position as a cisgender male in a heterosexual relationship limits the subversive quality of this film and potentially represents an example of 'hybrid masculinity'.
